Kolibri Logistiek on the Medica 2023 exhibition
From 13th up to 16th of November the Medica 2023 and Compamed were held in the Messe Düsseldorf in Germany. Medica and Compamed are international exhibitions for all relevant parties in the health industry world wide. So there are exhibitioners and visitors from all over the world, from Azia to the United States and from Australia to Scandinavia.
Medica 2023 in Messe Düsseldorf
Messe Düsseldorf is a huge complex with 17 halls, hall 8 are actually 2 halls, 8a and 8b, and you have 7a, 70 and 71, so in fact there are 20 halls in total. However we did not see a hall 2, don’t know why but it is not there. In each hall were specific groups;
- Halls 8a, 8b
Compamed – High-tech solutions for medical technology - Halls 1, 3
Lab & Diagnostics – Laboratory equipment/diagnostic tests - Halls 4, 5
Physio Tech – Physiotherapy/orthopaedic technology - Halls 5, 6, 7a, 7.0, 7.1
Disposables – Disposables and consumables - Halls 9, 10, 11
Med Tech & Devices – Imaging and diagnostics/ medical equipment & devices - Hall 12
Digital Health – IT systems and IT solutions - Hall 14
Med Tech & Devices – Hospital equipment, care equipment, operating technology and operating equipment - Halls 15, 16, 17
Med Tech & Devices – Imaging and diagnostics/ medical equipment and devices / National and international joint participants
A part of hall 3, and there were 17 halls like this in total!
Kolibri Logistiek visited the Medica 2023 to offer our logistic services to parties from outside Europe. As we can help those companies to set up an entity overhere in order to get their goods through customs. But also warehousing activities as labeling, packaging and orderpicking in our International Distribution Center from where we can ship their products to the whole of Europe.
Upfront we contacted some companies to make appointments to meet at the exhibition. In the end we had an agenda with 23 meetings planned. So now it was time to arrange a hotel room! But that was a challenge to say the least. Everything in and around Düsseldorf was already fully booked with exhibitioners and/ or visitors for the Medica 2023. Finally we found a hotel 40 minutes outside Düsseldorf.
The first meeting on Medica 2023 we had was with a Canadian company Simport who do in a whole range of products for laboratories. But we had more interesting meetings;
- Blossom who does a whole range of latex free products such as gloves, dental dams and face masks.
- Fei who wants to bring their Theraputty and Puff hand exercise material to Europe
- SW Sustainable technology with biodegradiation gloves
- Gochirp who wants to sell their chirp wheels in Europe
- TZ Medical with disposables
- Tribute Wear with solid and print scrubs
- Dan Medica south with Treat-eezi
And many more… Alltogether it was a very inspiring exhibition, tiring but inspiring!
